Stuban for School Board

Friends have asked why I am running for an At-Large seat on the Fairfax County School Board. There are many reasons but more than anything else it’s to restore the public’s trust in the School Board and Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). I believe that serving as a School Board member and helping to shape the future of our community’s young people is one of the most important responsibilities a citizen can undertake.

My goal is to make FCPS nationally recognized not simply for its size but as a role model to be emulated in every regard. I intend to help foster a learning environment that strengthens the partnership between parents and their schools – thus helping every student to achieve his or her personal best academically, as well as to lead a happy and productive life. I do so because Every Student Matters.
